Bitter Ward
Ingredients
- 3⁄4 oz WhistlePig 10yo Straight Rye Whisky
- 3⁄4 oz Green Chartreuse
- 3⁄4 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
- 3 dash The Bitter Truth Lemon Bitters
Method
Glass:
Serve in a Coupe glass
How to make:
STIR all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.
Review:
The result is, as my mom would say, "highly drinkable." Intensely herbal to start, quickly transitioning to cherry and rye spiciness in the middle and a dry finish that is brightened by the bitters.
History:
Inspired by the Oh My Word, which uses bitters in place of citrus to recraft the Final Ward with lemon bitters instead of lemon juice.
