- 1 oz WhistlePig 10yo Straight Rye Whisky
- 1 oz Ferro China Baliva
- 1 oz Cynar artichoke amaro
Method
Glassware:
Serve in an Old-fashioned glass
Prepare:
- Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
- No garnish to prepare.
Method:
- POUR ingredients into frozen glass.
- Fill glass with ice and briefly stir.
Garnish:
- Serve naked, without garnish.
History:
A bittersweet herbal riff on a Boulevardier, created in January 2025 by yours truly.
Review:
The name stands for Rye & Iron, a reference to the rye whisky and ferro china, which form the backbone of this bittersweet cocktail. (Also good pre-mixed and bottled to be poured as a bartender's handshake shot).
