History:

A scotch whisky-based riff on Jeffrey Morgenthaler's Bourbon Renewal, created by Brett Luttrell, a fellow discerning drinker who, in April 2023, ran out of bourbon so decided to sub in Johnny Walker Black and found it "Still works!" "Thus, a new drink 'round my house was born: The Urbane Restorative – a homage to the late Christopher Hitchens, whose love of "Mr. Walker's Amber Restorative" was no secret."

Review:

A Scotch Whisky Sour with rich blackcurrant.
