History:

Adapted from a recipe created in 2020 by J. E. Clapham of Clapham Cocktails. Originally served straight-up, Mr Clapham who told us, "The Monteleone, a Vieux Carré riff named after the Sicilian founder of the hotel where the Vieux Carré was born, in New Orleans – I am guessing he was partial to Averna like most Sicilians I have met."

Review:

A sipper of a cocktail to chase a meal or for late-night contemplation.
