Method

Glassware:

Serve in a Coupe glass

Prepare:

Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.

Method:

SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish:

EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

History:

David A. Embury's 1948 Fine Art of Mixing Drinks lists a cocktail called a Doctor No.2 (consisting of equal parts lemon juice, Swedish Punch and gin) and states, "This is also known as a Gretta Garbo." Not anymore, it's not! A Gretta Garbo is a very different, rum-based cocktail.
