- 1 oz Torabhaig Peated Single Malt Whisky
- 1⁄3 oz Giffard Banane du Brésil liqueur
- 2 drop Saline solution (20g sea salt to 80g water) or merest pinch of s
Method
Glassware:
Serve in a Double old-fashioned
Prepare:
- Select and pre-chill a DOUBLE OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
- Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.
Method:
- STIR all ingredients with ice.
- STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).
Garnish:
- EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Adapted from a recipe created in 2019 by Roger Grüter at Angel's Share in Basel, Switzerland. Roger's original recipe calls for Laphroaig 10yo Islay single malt.
Review:
Two parts amaro to 1 part Islay single malt is a boundary-pushing recipe but with a splash of banana liqueur, the resulting cocktail is balanced and tasty.
