Brazilian Sprite
Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 oz Avuá Prata Cachaça
- 2 oz Pallini Limoncello liqueur
- 2 dash Fee Brothers Lime Bitters
- 1⁄2 oz Lime juice
- 9 gram Superfine/Caster/Baker's special sugar
Method
Glass:
Serve in a Coupe glass
How to make:
Add sugar and lime juice to a mortar and pestle, grind until sugar is almost dissolved. Add sugar/juice mix and rest of ingredients to shaker, add ice. Circle shake for 10 seconds. Strain into chilled coupe.
Review:
Clean and fresh like sea air on the nose, bright lime on the first sip, middled by grassy notes from the cachaca ending in a dry, lemony finish.
History:
Iteration on a Mariachi Mash served up https://www.taketwotapas.com/mariachi-mash-lemon-lime-cocktail-2/ swapping tequila for cachaca.
Garnish:
None at home, but a lemon and line wedge on the rim would be lovely.
